When the Chichimeca arrived, the Chichimeca from Colhuacan. When they [tlachihua?] beneath the cactus fruit they lived in a mere reed-huts. They began to fish. Those who lived around them on the arid land watched as they were making smoke rise.

And as the putrid smell rose up and people smelled it, many died and their skin became swollen. Because of it people often wanted to get rid of them but they were unable to.

according to the german translation tlatlamalia means to fish. I'm guessing this is taking on of the tlas as tlatl (sling) to catch with a sling?
