Frank D. Jones City Assessor and Collector

Fort Worth Texas Feby 1 1898

To the Hon City Council

Of the City of Fort Worth

Gentlemen

I have the honor to inform you that it is very necessary to have a new set of Abstract Books for this office as the old ones are full and we are obliged to carry from page to page. I would like you gentlemen either to employ a competent man or authorize me to do so in order to do this work. I would like to have the matter settled tonight as we shall be assessing at once and will need to books and it will take some time to complete same.
