Dear Sir - The records of the Police Dept show that on the night of December 21st. 97 Office T.J. Maben was while in the discharge of his duty as City Patrolman injured by a fall at the intersection of Rusk & 7th St. fracturing a bone of the left fore arm. Mr. Maben has since e been unfit for service. In consequence of said accident he has lost 40 days of service which at the rate of $60.00 per month would have ne netted him $ 77.40.

Logan Treasurer for Quarter ending December 31 1897 be approved same having been examined by the Auditor and found correct and it appearing from Certificate of Luther T Boaz President American National Bank that the balance as stated in said report to wit $64.830.06 was deposited in said bank to the credit of said J.M.Logan as Treasurer.
