To the Mayor and City Council of Fort Worth:-

Your petitioner, J.M. Logan, begs leave to submit that for
the year of 1895 Lots 6 and 12 in Block 28 of the old town of Fort Worth
were assessed to an unknown owner at $10,000.00 valuation, and for the year
1896 said lot 6 in said Block 28 of the old town of Fort Worth was as-
sessed at a valuation of $6,000.00 to an unknown owner.

In the year 1895 Lots 1 and 2 in Block 1 in More, Thornton &
Co.'s Addition to the City of Fort Worth were assessed to an unknown own-
er at a caluation of $8,000.00 and for the year 1896 said Lot No. 2 in
Block 1 in said More, Thornton & Co. Addition was assessed to Robert Mc-
Cart at a valuation of $2000.00.

After there assessments I became the owner of the aforesaid
lots, and I am therefore interested in the question of an equitable valu-
ation upon said property. I beg to submit that the aforesaid valuations
are excessive and unreasonable, and I petition that your honorale body
shall reduce said valuations are follows:-

That said lots 6 and 12 in Block 28 of the old town of Fort
Worth shall be assessed for the year 1895 for the valuation of $4000.00,
and that said lot 6 shall be assessed for the year 1896 at a valuation of
$2000.00; and that said lots 1 and 2 in Block 1 in the Moore, Thornton &
Co. Addition to the City of Fort Worth shall be assessed for the year
1895 at a valuation of $4000.00. I will not ask for any reduction on
said lot 2 for the year 1896 which is valued at $2000.00, which is per-
haps a reasonable valuation.

Now if you shall find the aforesaid valuations right and proper
I stand ready to pay the taxes for said years at the valuations suggest-
ed aforesaid.
