Whereas there is a large & desely settled
portion of the 8" ward on which are
located many valuable residence, that
is entirely without fire protection and
only has 2 inch main through which to
funish water to that portion of said ward.
Therefore be it

Resolved: that the superintendent of
the water works be and is hereby directed to
purchase or have purchased 600 feet of 8 in pipe.
with the neccesary lead your company valve fire hydrant - R
and lay the same on Magnolia Ave which
from exenting pipe line and to an item
two inch ^replaced pipe in making such purchase
extentions in said ward or will find the
best recourse to the City.

Estimate of the cost of said work is best
attached.
