Alderman Orrick moved to adopt the
resolution. Alderman Wagoman rec-
moved as a substitute that a [?]
meeting of the taxpayers and citizens
be called by the Mayor for same day
next month to take into consideration
in connection with the council the
water works situation and decide
what is best under the circumstances.
After a prolonged discussion, Alder-
man Lehane called for [?]
and [heirs?] on the substitute and
the following vote was cast.
Alderman Ward, Waggoman
Lehane Tucker and Moreland 5
voting Aye and Alderman Murray
Newby, Henderson, and Orrick 4 voting
Noe and the substitute was [called?]
and Mayor will call mass
meeting.
