To the Hon Members of The City Council. Fort Worth Tex.

You are hereby called to to meet in special session at 12 m August 27th 1901 to consider [statutory?] matters and especially the existence of small pox in the city and to do and perform such official acts as may be necessary in the premises also school matters & buildings

We hereby accept notice } of the above call

Orrick moved that City Council in view of attorney general opinion & c that city have nothing to do with small pox in the city and that Dr Chambers be appointed com. of one to notify the co. judge & [comssrs [ct?] to that effect and city have nothing to do with small pox

Moreland B. Con & City Engineers and given authority to exchange lots property and place school house for colored — cost not be exceed $750. current

Moreland to adjourn

Waggoman moved to allow lines of sewer Dpt $214.20 & WWKS DPT $533.20 subject to approved of auditor.

August 13th,1901.

The Honorable,the Mayor and the City Council,

Fort Worth, Texas;

Gentlemen:-

Having examined the abstracts of title and certificates of the County and City Collectors of Taxes furnished me by Mr.Sprinkle, I find it to appear from the said abstracts and certificates:-

(1) That the title to Lot 1,of Block 5,of the Lawn Terrace Addition to the City of Fort Worth,in Tarrant County,Texas,is vested in Kate T.Doherty,or Daugherty,- that there was no liens on said property and that all taxes for 1901 alone to be accounted for.

(2) That the title to Lot 2,of Block 5,of said Lawn Terrace Addition,is vested in Pat O.Kelly,- that there are no liens upon the said lot,and that all taxes up to and including the year 1900 have been paid,leaving taxes for 1901 alone to be accounted for.

(3) That the title to Lots 15 and 16,of said Block 5,is vested int eh Lawn Terrace Company,- that there are no liens on said premises and that all taxes thereon have been paid up to and including the year 1899, while the county and state taxes have also been paid for the year 1900,leaving the city taxes for 1900 unpaid,and all taxes for 1901 yet to be accounted for.

We the purchasing committee recommend the purchase acceptance of the lots deeded to city by accompanying deeds_ and that vouchers be drawn in payment threfor-purchase price $750.00
