Hon. Mayor and City Council. Gentlemen;-
We, your committee on Water Works, to whom was referred the petition of W.A.Darter offering to sell certain property belonging to the estate of Col.J.P.Smith deceased, beg to recommend that the offer be accepted and the City Attorney be instructed to prepare the necessary papers and present same at the next meeting of the Council.

To his honor the Mayor, and council of the City of Fort Worth,
Gentlemen:
Believing it would be to the interest of the City of Fort Worth to own about 2 and 1-2 acres of land adjoining the land owned by the City at old water works station at junction of clear fork with west fork of Trinity river, said 2 and 1-2 acres being a part of the A.Gouhenant survey enclosed with water works tract, lying west of road leading to the wire bridge and north of road leading to clear fork bridge.
I offer this property to the City of Fort Worth for $3500.00 agreeing to use $3296.29 of said amt. to pay off City taxes against J.P.Smith homestead, 5 acres of the A.Gouhenant survey and two small pieces of property owned by Mrs J.P.Smith., See statements attached.
