Monday a citizen of said city, humbly represents that heretofore about about tenyears ago your petitioner, was engaged in the business of buggy paintingand made a contract for the painting of a buggy for a Campdellite preacher and had finished it painting when the police of the city at the request of one Frank Fogg, barred him out of his place of business and would not let him have the buggy in order to collect the sum of $12.- due on same and on account thereof he lost it the said sum of $I2.00 and the city became liable to me for the same and I hereby give notice that I am claiming on account thereof the said sum from the said city of Ft. Worth and I hereby give notice that if not settled satisfactory I will take proper steps to collect said amount.

If this statement is not succinct or plain enough to sow the nature of my said claim I am willing to supplement it with oral testimony and appear before your honorable body at any time it may see fit to designate a day therefore.
