block 7, advertised in the paper
as delinquent in taxes, and find
upon investigation that the tax -
collector failed to or did not include
the taxes for real estate, and that I
owed the City of Fort Worth $93.88 of which
$6.50 is for penalty.

I at once paid this amount. - but
in view of the fact that I heretofore
paid all taxes promptly, that it was
my intention to pay taxes for 1901, and
would have paid them in January 1902,
had the Tax Collector said that I owed
it. I hereby petition your honorable
body to kindly refund me the penalty
amounting to Six Dollars and 50 cts.
