To the Hon City Council of the
City of Fort Worth

Gentlemen: I herewith return to your honorable
body the attached resolution authorizing & instructing
the city engineer to properly enlarge the storm sewer
- Robinson's branch culvert at west Fifth Street, possed
at your last meeting June 17th for the following
reasons towit

1st. Because it would be useless to report enlarge said
culvert unless a private Storm Sewer below
said culvert be enlarged at the same time and
final arrangements have not yet been made
to enlarge said provide storm sewer.

2nd Because there is a suit peceding against the City for damages
alleged to have been caused by said culvert
being too small, and I am of opinion that
the city will be in better position to defend said
suit by allowing conditions to remain as they
now exist.
