I owe the city onmu home place on West Weatherford Street the sum of about $182.00 taxes on principal, not including interest, penality, etc_ If the city will credit my taxes on the house place with $100.00 and remit interest and penalties, I will convey to the City that portion of the strip that now embraces Hogg street about 10x45 feet_ the width of Hogg STreet, and remove fence at once. making Hoss St complete to Belknap_Hogg street pavement & all.

We your finance Com tee beg leave to report that we have agreed to accept the within proposition subject to the approval by the Council. He has opened the street and we recommend that when he relieves a deed properly acknowledged by himself & wife that the sum of $100.00 be credited on the taxes due by him on his house place on w. weatherford st. and that the interest and penalties thereon be remitted.

TO THE HONORABLE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH:-

Your petitioners Sam Rosen and Fort Worth & Rosen Heights Street Railway Company to which he has assigned the privileges granted to him by this Council, respectfully represent.

That in the ordinance granting to said Rosen and his assigns certain rights and privileges for the construction of a line of street railway in the City of Fort Worth, there is a provision that the construction of said line shall be commenced within six months from the date of the acceptance of said Ordinance by said Rosen, and that said period of six months from the date of the said acceptance will shortly be completed.

That the said Rosen and the said Fort Worth & Rosen Heights Street Railway Company to which he has assigned said rights and privileges, have in good faith diligently prosecuted the construction of a line of street railway from North Fort Worth to Fort Worth, Texas, with a view to the completion of same into Fort Worth under the terms and provisions of said Ordinances, and that said line is now graded to a point at or very near the city limits of Fort Worth.

That said Ordinance provided that said line might be constructed over North Fifth street and Houston street and other streets there mentioned, or in the alternative over North Main street within the limits of the City of Fort Worth if said other streets were not opened by the city and made available to said Rosen or his assigns.

That said work of grading has progressed to a point where it is now necessary to have said North Fifth street and Houston street now opened in order that the work of constructing said line may continue, and that said streets are not now opened.

That in view of the present obstruction arising out of the fact that said streets are not open, and the further fact that some technical contention might arise under the circumstances as to the commencing of work within six months as provided in said Ordinance, your Honorable body is respectfully requested to pass the attached resolution or ordinance granting to the said

Rosen and his assigns an extension of sixty (60) days on said time limit, to begin construction within the city limits of Fort Worth, and petitioners further request that your Honorable body take immediate steps to make said North Fifth and Houston streets available for the construction of said car line, or in the alternative petitioners will be compelled to construct said line down North Main street.

ORDINANCE NO. ______________

Be it resolved by the city council of the city of Fort Worth, that the Fort Worth & Rosen Heights Street Railway Company, assignee of the rights and privileges granted to Sam Rosen for the construction of a line of street railway in the city of Fort Worth, be and is hereby granted the privilege and right to commence the construction of said line within the city limits of Fort Worth within sixty (60) days from the passage of this ordinanceresolution, hereby extending the time limit of six (6) months provided in said original ordinance for the beginning of construction under the term of said ordinance.
