We, the undersigned property owners abutting on El Paso Street between
Henderson and Ballinger Streets, do hereby agree that we will pay for
the gravelling of said portion of El Paso Street lying between said
Henderson Street and said Ballinger Street upon the terms and conditions
as follows to-wit:

L. J. Hawkins shall fill in the said portion of El Paso Street
for the full width thereof according to grades and specifications to be
furnished by the City Engineer after the city shall have built a culvert
under said portion of El Paso Street to carry off the water which flows
across said portion of El Paso Street, the said Hawkins to grade the
whole of said portion of said street according to the grades furnished
by the City Engineer and his specifications as aforesaid, and the said
Hawkins to gravel the center forty feet of the said street according
to the specifications furnished by the City Engineer, which shall provide
for not less than nine inches of gravel at center and not less than
three inches of gravel at the edged, said gravel to be of first quality
for such purpose.

Payment to be made for the said work as follows to-wit: The city
shall pay for the making of the said fill at the rate of fort cents
per cubic yard measured in the fill. The city to pay for the gravelling
of the street intersections and one-third of the remainder. The property
owners to pay for the gravelling of two-thirds of the said portion of
said street, one-third to be paid by the property owners abutting on the
north and one-third by the property owners abutting on the south. The
gravelling of the said street to be done at the price of eighty cents per
running feet.

It is further provided that the city shall level up the grade with
its road machine in the manner heretofore done on other streets graded
and gravelled by the said Hawkins.

We, the aforesaid property owners abutting as aforesaid, agree to
pay our proportion of the cost of said work, to-wit twenty-six and two-
third cents for each running foot of property abutting on the said street on certificate of
