Be It Resolved:

That the Northern Texas Traction Co., is hereby instructed and required to immediately begin to repair that portion of Main Street lying between its tracks and for eighteen inches on each side thereof, and work continuously thereon so that within ninety days from date hereof the same shall be completed, and that on failure of said Traction Co., to have the same fully and completely repaired within said time, that the franchise of the said Northern Traction Co., granted in an ordinance on date the 27th day of December 1902 and the same is hereby declared to be forfeited.

Fort Worth, Tex, July 7, 1905.

BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Fort Worth:

That the Northern Texas Traction Co., be and are hereby instructed and required to place in good, proper and serviceable condition the streets along which run the newly constructed line from Seventh street to Eight Avenue, for the space between their tracks and eighteen inches on each side thereof, as well as also all such portions of said streets as have been disturbed by them in the construction of the said line, and that in the doing of said work, they are hereby instructed and required to do so the same, that the surface of the rails shall be on a level with the surface of the streets. And they are hereby further directed and required to begin this work forthwith and to have the same completed within forty five days from date hereof, and that in default thereof, the franchises of the said Street Railway Co., granted in an ordinance of date the 21 day of November 1902 be and the same are hereby declared to be forfeited.

BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the city of Fort Worth that the city attorney of the city of Fort Worth be authorized to employ assistant council in the city of Galveston in the matter of the litigation between the city and the heirs of Mrs. Sarah C. Bell in the matter of the recovery of taxes, and that he be authorized to contract for the payment of the sum not more than Fifteen Hundred Dollars ($1500), said contract not only to cover suit about to be filed, but such other suits as may be necessary in order to recover the said taxes in case defects should be discovered in the assessment or any other defects which would necessitate the bringing of new suits to recover said taxes; one-half of said amount to be paid in cash and the other half to be paid on completion of the litigation.

It is further ordered that warrant for Seven Hundred and Fifty Dollars ($750) do issue for use by the city attorney in the making of said contract.
