FORT WORTH, Texas, August 27th, 1907.

To the Honorable The MAYOR and City Commissioners of the City of Fort Worth.

Gentlemen:-

We desire respectfully to call your Honors' attention to the fact that on Monday the 19th inst. a heavy car, known as "the grass burner" was moved from one track to the other over the pavement recently laid by us on Houston Street between 15th and Front Streets. The surface of the street was so damaged by the flanges of the wheels as to require extensive repairs at some time, and under our contract the cost of the same will be chargeable to the City.

At the writer's request the City Engineer has viewed the damage, and has, we believe, reported the conditions to the management of The Northern Texas Traction Co.

We have honor to be, Gentlemen, Your most obedient servants, The Parker-Washington Co., [Signature of J. A. Pickett] Special Agt.
