To the Honorable Board of Commissioners
of the City of Fort Worth:-

My Dear Sirs:-

I have examined the petition of D.H. Purvis and W.A.
Hanger, relative to the matter of city taxes on the West one-half of Lot
No. 1, in Block No.1 , of Moore, Thornton & Company's Addition to the
City of Fort Worth, wherein they ask that the taxes for the years 1905
and 1906 be remitted.

I find that by decision of the Court of Civil Appeals,
upon which writ of error was refused by the Supreme Court, that the
title to this particular piece of proparty was adjudged to be in Tar-
rant County for and during those years, in consequeunce where of the
said property during that time would not be liable to taxation by the
City of Fort Worth.

I therefore report favorably upon that petition, and re-
commend that the prayer of petitioners therein be granted,
