We the undersigned members of the Federation of Women's Club of The City of Fort Worth, respectfully petition your honor-able body to Appropriate a monthly donation for the maintainance of the Imergency Home for friendless girls and delinquent children. The home is located at No 507 Jones Street in the City of Fort Worth.

STATE OF TEXAS THE TEXAS NATIONAL GUARD STATION COMPANY D, 4TH INFANTRY FORT WORTH

Fort Worth Texas, October 1907.

To The Honorable Mayor and City Commissioners, City

Gentlemen:-

Having been recentlybeen placed in command of the local Military Company, (The Fort Worth Fencibles) I have been enjoined be his Excellency The Governor, through his Adjutant General to do all in my power to makethis organization a strong active and efficient body that could be depended on either in domestic emergency or foreign difficulties. Since our present Court House has been built the County Commissioners have verykindly furnished the Militia with Armories in the basement of the Court House, but in the judgment of every Regular Army Officer sent to inspect this company this command, the rooms are totally unfit for Armory purposes; the clothing mildews and the equipment rusts from the steam heat which cause the rooms to sweat when closed. The Thirtieth Legislature has passed a bill allowing seven dollars per month Armory rent for each Company; with this amount and about eighteen dollars a
