TO THE HONORABLE MAYOR AND BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF FT. WORTH.

Gentleman,-

Whereas we, the Bailey-Rucker Stock Co., having
acquired the property known as the Vendome Theatre, located at
the southeast corner of Third and Rusk streets, where we are
entertaining the public nightly with stricty first class
amusements and in addition to furnishing [deletion s] our patrons with
high class performances it is our purpose and desire to at all
times preserve good order to the end, that the immense crowds
who nightly visit our theatre may enjoy each performance to the
fullest extent.

Therefor we, the Bailey- Rucker Stock Co., by and through
our general manager respectfully petition your honorable Purdy to allow
us a commisioned officer whose duty it will be to attend each
performance given in our theatre and will be diligent in preserving
order.

Should your honorable body grant this petition we will
ask you to appoint and commision Mr. C.E. Redman., who will
serve without cost to the city.
