Gentlemen

We the undersigned property owners respectfully request the appointment of W. P. Hall as special police officer, beginning with today, and continuing so long as we employ him as night watchman at our places of business, on S. Boaz St. Railroad Ave. and Louisiana Avenue in said City. We herewith submit testimonial of many prominent citizens of Weatherford as to Mr. Hall's character and standing.

By authority invested in me I hereby appoint W. P. Hall Special policeman as requested without pay from the City of Fort Worth subject to the approval of Board of Commissioners of city of Ft. Worth at its next meeting.

Having read in the newspapers that you are soon to appoint a City pure food inspector in conjunction with the county, I respectfully beg to apply for the position, believing that I am capable of filling same for the best interests of all concerned. I have lived in Texas about twenty five years, coming to this country from Scotland when twenty years old, have lived in Ft. Worth about five years, have been engaged in the cattle business in all of its different phases nearly all my life. Was manager and cattle salesman for Inter-State Com. & Co. Ft. Worth nearly four years, since retiring from that position have been doing business with & for Davis & Ham and GodairCrowley Comm. Co to either or both of these Co. I beg to refer you to my business ability &c., or to either of the following Gentlemen R. M. Nutt, J. D. Farmer, F. M. Cantell, L. M.
