TO THE HONORABLE MAYOR AND BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS:

J. E. Drendel shows that he is the owner of city tax receipt No. ______ issued by the City of Fort Worth authorizing the carrying on of a retail liqour business in the City of Fort Worth from Oct. 8, 1907 for one year, and that this receipt, together with the retail liquor dealer license No. 172 issued by the County Clerk of Tarrant County, Texas was mortgaged to secure a certain sum of money abd that the mortgage was duly filed in the office of said County Clerk and that on default in the payment of the indebtedness, the said license and receipt was sold under the mortgage and purchased by the said Drendel.

That no act or thing has been done or committed to the knowledge of affiant which would forfeit or authorize the forfeiture of the said license or receipt, and that he has made diligent inquiry to ascertain if any act or thing has been done that would forfeit the same and such investigation shows that no such act or thing has been committed and that he is the own and holder of said license and entitled to receive the unearned and unexpired portion thereof, beginning with Nov. 9, 1907 on which day he became such purchaser.

Wherefore he prays for refund of unexpired portion thereof.

J E Drendel

Sworn to and subscribed before me this the 6th day of December, 1907.
