Fort Worth, Texas, November 27, 1907.
The Mayor and Commission, City of Fort Worth, Texas.
Gentlemen:-
You are aware that your suggestions relative to the purchase of a reservoir for providing the City with water, and a practical reconstruction of its water system, are before the Board of Trade for the purpose of an investigation and report thereon, and that the Committee of the Board to whom this question has been referred, are now undertaking as best they can, thro expert information and otherwise to ascertain the feasibility, cost, etc. of the suggested system.
As the Committee had not had sufficient time to obtain the necessary information and was unable to make an intelligent report to the Board, the Board on the 26th inst. passed a resolution requesting the Commission to extend the time for the consummation of the purchase of the land, and further requesting your Honorable Body to give to the Committee full and complete details of the number of acres proposed to be purchased, the price per acre, the topography of the land, the report of the City Engineer after making the survey, the methods that you have suggested of bringing the water into the city, of construction, and all the data in your possession, including cost, etc., to enable the Committee to intelligently formulate a report, in connection with the data it already has and that it hopes to acquire.

In obedience to the resolution and the purpose of the committee we respectfully request your Honorable Body to defer the final closing of the land transaction until this data and information can be had, and until the fullest investigation can be made relating to your suggestions, which we promise shall be done as early as the great importance of the occasion requires.
We feel, and so does the Board, that it is of such preponderating importance as to require the utmost vigilance and the most careful investigation that we may all proceed intelligently and avoid possible costly errors.
We feel assured that the Commission will join us in giving us all the aid possible, and that its desire, with ours, is to proceed intelligently, at the same time with the greatest caution.
Very respectfully,
C.T. Hodge Chairman of Water Committee of Board of Trade

Hon. Mayor & Board of Com., of Ft. Worth, Texas.
Gentlemen:
We are in receipt of a Warrant drawn by you for the unexpired term of our Liquor Liscense amounting to $114. We wish to call your attention to the fact that our old Liqour Liscense had run from the 29th day of Apr. until July 12th, making a total of 72 days, 72 days being not quite one-fifth of a year, according to our figures. Onefifth of $150. makes 30.00, which is the expired amount of our old liscense taken out Apr. 29th. $30. from $150. leaves $120. which is amount that you should have returned to us for the unexpired term of our liscense instead of $114. We trust that after looking into the matter that you will issue to us Warrant for $6. covering the discrepancy.
Verye truly yours, Kindel-Clark Drug Co.
