FORT WORTH, TEXAS, 3/9/08. 190__

State of Texas, County of Tarrant, City of Ft Worth.

To the Honorable Chief and Police Commissioner:

I hereby apply to you for a policeman's commission, or in other wordsto be appointed as a non-paid policeman, for myself and Mr. B. P. O'Neal, both of THE TEXAS DECTECTICE SERVICE of this city. For the reason that we have to frequent the different rail-road yards at all times of the night, as well as the different negro dives, and other places of like character. We feel that such protection is essential to our safety. Thanking you in advance for any favorable consideration.

Respectfully submitted,

W.B. Morgan
