FtWorth, Texas March 16th 1908.

To the Honorable Board of Commissioners of the
City of FtWorth.

Gentlemen:--

Permit me to submit to your Honorable body, for your
consideration, the following proposition and application, I, J. C.
Thompson, a resident of the City for more than thirty years, will agree
and bind myself to keep in repair all the Cement and brick work, at
all the plants belonging to the City, for a stated salary of $100.00
per month; believing, that in the event said application meets with
your approval, that there can be a saving to the City of at least
$25.00 per month in material and work, this belief is predicated upon
my familiarity with the construction and repair of the brick and
cement work in the different plants.

I refer you to Wm. Brice, Mr. DeHaven, Robert Cone and Mr.
Williams, chief engineer at the Water Works, who know me and for whom
I have worked.

Yours very truly,

JC Thompson
