STATE OF TEXAS COUNTY OF TARRANT.
TO THE HONORABLE MAYOR AND BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS:
G e n t l e m e n:-
You are hereby notified that heretofore on the 9th day of April, 1908 while walking along the east side of Burnett Street between Weatherford and First Streets in the city of Ft. Worth, and at the point where the alley intersects said Burnett Street, I stepped into a hole which had been evidently excavated at the intersection of said alley for the purpose of placing therein a telegraph, telephone or electric wire pole. It being after night and there being no lights or obstructions whatsoever placed to give warning. By reason of falling in said hole, I struck against the side of the same, or against the curbing and substained severe ruptures, bruises and contusion and the straining and breaking of muscles and ligaments an other injuries internally and externally, to my body and limbs by reason of which I am still confined to my bed, and hereby give notice of my claim upon the city of Fort Worth for my damages by reason of the injuries sustained by me in the sum of Twenty thousand ($20,000.00) Dollars.

To the Honorable Mayor and City Commissioners,
Gentlemen:
Reporting on the Mc Glinchey proposition to sell the City his house for $900. and the improvements for $300. beg to report that I see no occasion for the City purchasing this property, at this time, at any price.
We would certainly ha ve no use for it during the present administration, and I would be in favor of allowing Mr. Mc Glinchey to leave his improvements where they are and occupy same, we agreeing to give him sufficient notice to move them or else purchase them, when the City is in need of them.
Respectfully,
G. H. Colvin Com. of Finance & Revenue.
