1) Friday 4 P.M. I intended having Johnnie mail this this A.M,. but did not get it done and, in the meantime , yours came so will write some more. He has been so busy in the house that he hasen't gotten his chickens fixed until now, but he let them out in the evenings. He has all the trees trimed but 2. we got the closet fixed today and most everything in place, so he swept all the rooms about 1 P.M. and we ate at 2, as we eat so late in the

2) mornings. I dusted for the first and we may get some pictures hung tomorrow, and get bathed and, if sun is shinning, want to get my hair washed. Am so glad you are not sick, and glad, ^Geo,^ you do not want the table. You cannot have the bookcase. Will sell it, if I can. Had a letter from Eddie this A.M. He got the oranges, no broken fruit jars, but 2 good plates were broken. Machine and oldest buro, badly scratched. When I got my silk dress and finery, will go up to see you. Looks as though would rain.

Thursday, 7 30 P.M.

Dear Edith: We are getting pretty well straitened, (?), around. Johnie had to go downtown on an errand this P.M. and on to Montabello. and I washed my face and changed my dress, and have been resting all the P.M. Just got up to write you a little and say I do hope you will not send for the table, as it is old and will cost you so much to get it to you, and you have no room or need of it, as I can see, and Johnie and I bowth, (?), think you will be, very foolish, to get the bookcase as Geo can make you a nicer one, when you get ready for one, for 1/2 the money.

2) I find we haven't as much cupbord room in the kitchen as we had out in the little shanty. Yesterday morning, Papa washed our underclothes and stockings, 2 towles and 1 dish towl, (?). So our washing is done for this week. It was so nice. Was afraid it might rain later in the week, so it is out of the way. Am pretty good in the morning or was this morning, but can hardly walk on leg after working awhile. I am so afraid you are down in bed from that awful work, and am so greatful for the help, as I keep unpacking things, I think what a fine job you did, and I am so sorry I near thought to give dear Alice anything for her help. I want to give

8:15 Going to bed!

Friday 9 30 A.M. Good morning cousins. Had pretty good night. Knee not so good, guess on it too much, yesterday. Can you hear Johnie sawing? Making shelves for the closet. I found my tea in the barrel China cubboard. Looks pretty good to me. Write soon and let me know so I will know whether to sell these things or not.
