Mr. C. H. Grundy:

Dear Sir: In reply to your card, will say my ranch is two miles west of Burbank, across the road and north of Mr. Jeffery's Ranch is a sandy soil and layer fine, 34 acres of alfalfa, 3 or 4 years old, 6 acres. I sowed last spring and it done well. Made 3 tons first crop. Have cut it three times. We got 36-38=34 tons per crop. The earlier crop, mostley off the older alfalfa, we are cutting 5th crop now which will be some lighter owing to the cool weather. (The house which built last spring) and Engin house are all the improvements with plenty of watter and a 40 horse power Fairbanks Engin which does the work easy. The place rented last year for $1260 cash, rent, but I feel I want more owing to the house and other improvements and 6 acres more of alfalta. The rent and time of last will

depend on what the other man wants. I think it is the custom to pay rent in advance each year. The man on Ranch will show you around Mr. Scholtice.
