Friday Eve.

My dear sister: Yours of yesteraday rec'd at noon today. Sorry your trip busted up, but hope it will turn out o.k. later. Xcuse me for not answering your good letter. I've been so terribly busy & no time for a note to anybody. It is now 10 o'clock and this month, a short one, How I would like to go on such a trip, but it seems I cannot leave for a day. The cannery is not open this week & I thought I'd have a chance to rest a little and maybe get away some place for a day, but Helen has been to Hollywood all the time since last Sat. eve. & will come home in time to go to work in cannery Monday again. Now S. has resigned his mail route business & will go to desert as soon

as we can get away which may be about Oct. 1st. Then will have rather hard lines with no income from either place until next yr. & plenty going out.

Our Saxon is out of order & cannot have it repaired now so cannot come for table. I can get along without it anyway & maybe, some time, get it or another. Now, if Helen can come with Daddy & come out on car, let her come & I'll take good care of her, and love her as my own, (for your girls are all dear to me), and not have her work too hard. She can take many steps off her Auntie Ga and I need some one. I'll try to give her enough plain food including milk & maybe, some time, I can give her something, but we are very shy of "dough" these days.

Thank you for trusting your precious girls with me. I appreciate it. Send a few jars & we will try to fill them. Can't you come out soon? Much love to all Myra
