Darling family:

Well, sun is breaking thro after a week of
showers and sun. Showers have helped the lawn and my newly
transplanted flowers from flower beds to side of house.
From seed planted way last Apr., just marigolds and collendums,
(sp), and few nast'urts. Will get about a dozen tunias to
fill in for more color so, hope the place won't look so
barren come summer. Still expect to leave about Tues. for
Wis., if our loan comes thro for the $100. If not, will cut
loan and send Coop alone on the bus which I'd rather do any
way. Coop is busy in garage fixing door so Humpy can have a
place to run to and from and neighbors will feed him. Landlord
running, bout to be (purt gud?) fellow guess cos pleased.
We are taking such interest in yard, etc. 1st to do since
his son had to leave about 3 yrs. ago! A second Ted.L., tho
for tightneess of money and is worth plenty, rents 5 houses
alone for $100 plus his other building. Hope all OK.

Rec'd card from Helen & Russ, now with
Dottie. Driving truck from Searcy to
Memphis, 12 hrs., 5 days a week!

More later. Sorry you won't be with us. Love to all,
The Coopers
