My dear spinster sister

Dear Edith: I suppose you will be greatly surprised to hear from me but, as we are not very busy this morning. Thought I might improve the time by writing to the new bride. You certainly surprised us all by getting married. When I got home the evening you sent the announcement, Emily was dancing around in an excitable manner and says you can't guess who's married and, of course, I mentioned a dozen different names but never once gave an old spinster like you a thought for, I, of course, thought you had given the views of matrimony up some years ago. Well dear Edith, will have to say good bye as we are getting rather busy. Hoping my letter will find you both enjoying good health. With love from your spinster sister, Mary [Lawrey].

P.S. Archie has been looking for a letter from you stating whether you received the pkge or not. Let us know at once.
