He bought a farm of 80 acres, 3 1/2 miles from home,
1 mile north of Guillford and 6 1/2 from Salem.
Hermie bought his interest out at home. They got
some money from their grandpa's estate this
spring. Harvey does his work and cooks for himself.
We do his baking. I expect he will not
always do his own cooking. He has got a nice
home. He paied $50 1/2 per acre. We sold mother's
property in Salem a short time ago. It only brought
$1,800. Times are very dull in Salem & every place.
Hermie is doing the farming at home.

Amy Brown and Miss Clive went to Enochs to pick cherries.
Today, Enochs are well. The last I herd I have not
saw them this summer. Olie has gone to, [Loiewie?].
Has been there for some time. Homer goes to see
a girl every Sat. night. He thinks he has got a dandy.
Hermie and his girl has had a fallout. She did
not like him to ride his wheal. He said he
would not sell his wheal just to please her

June 19.
Harvey had quite a lot of Kerns over at
his place yesterday. We made 14 glasses of Kern
Ged and canned four cans. He is going to have
bushels of grapes. Fruite of all kinds are very
plently. it is almost harvest. Are going to cut
wheat next week. I suppose you don't know
anything about the country. Now, do you like
it in Philadelphia and do you expect to stay
there all summer?. I would love to have you
come and make us a visit. Alice Pike is visiting
in Berlin now. Amy said she would not
come to their house. Yesterday, Frank went
to Mansfield. Will be back tonight.

Flora and the children are well. She is living on the
farm. Has a boy hired to do the work

Edith, I thought I would write
another sheet but I am getting so tired. I guess I
will half to quit. My love and best wishes.
Come & see us.

Your Aunt
