Dear daughter: Enclosed, please find the reply of Mrs. Henry's letter to mine which I have just, this moment, received. Also a piece of silk for my new waist, which cost 38 cents per yd., and it takes less than four yds. She cut it out last night and we had the pleasure of entertaining over night, Atty. J. N. Ramsey of Cincinnatti, who is in this city on business and was anxious to see us all before he left. He is indeed a fine appearing man and says Ida is well. This baby is three years old. He brought the picture of her with him. And left his and Ida's with us. He wishes he could have met you.

and hoped, if any of us ever came to their city, we would come to see them. Their address is Mt. Echo Price Hill, Elbero Ave., Cars, Cincin. He said Lemuel Sr. is married and lives in Ill. near Frank's. L.C. called yesterday to see us. Was disappointed in finding you gone. They are well and like their new home. Their address is 80 Scoll St., West Side. He said he had seen Lawyer Woolf recently and said to tell me if I knew of G. S. H.'s location. He would bring him to terms now for him thinking he now has something. Lawyer Ramsey and I talked the matter over and he too will assist in finding him and I wrote to Woolf this afternoon stating the facts but, I dare not tell Katie nor don't you mention it to her son, Jimmie. Ramsey called on Archie and Sarah.

We received your delivery letter Sunday morning and I was so sorry and grieved over the neglected baggage that I worried until Katie got it started the next morning. I do hope you received it all right. They paid back the extra charges that we paid on it and it did not cost anything to forward the baggage to Pittsburgh. I received the, [spectacls], [sic], yesterday but I don't like them as well as my old ones, so I will exchange them. The weather turned very, very cold yesterday and oh, how stormy and cold it is today. Mr Ramsey returns to Cincinn. tonight. I sent

the package to Mrs. Clements on Saturday and wrote to Mrs. H. at the same time. Let us hear from you soon. I hope you are well. Remember me to Mr. & Mrs. Evans. Eddie Nevill and Albert are at home this winter. Lewis Hartsough visited the Ramseys recently. He has a new station on, [Jusition ?], down there some where. Excuse the writing as I am in a hurry. With love, I close. Mother.

Jan. 31, 1898 5337 KNOX STREET GERMANTOWN, PA.

Dear Mrs Hartzell: I thank you for the letter, and enclosed P.O. order for ten dollars. ($10), sent this morning. I am very glad to know that both you and Edith have this off your minds, where I know it has been pressing much more heavily than it has upon mine, though no more so, I am sure than it would, had I been the borrower, for all three
