My dear:

I received your postal, and was glad for your sake, as well as my own, that you got another case. I hated to think of your leaving me, even to know you are still in Phila., though I cannot see you often is a comfort. How do you like your present place? How are you getting along?

I will be at Mrs. Rileys for a week or ten days more, then if Mrs Bowen goes away, I will go stay with the children.

My affairs are adjusted for a time, at least, and I do not have to worry about them just at present. Though that is not saying much.

I am well and thankful for all the blessings I have. I laughed every time I think of the way I hustled you out of that office. I could do nothing about your money and I think under the existing circumstances or conditions, it will be more prudent to stay away from Mr. C's office

It will not do to run the risk of a mistake, at least, don't go without letting me know.

Hoping to see you whenever it is possible.

Always your friend, T. W. de M.

Sunday.
