about it when you write me. I will keep
you posted as to results. Katie's feet and legs,
particularly her ankles, swell so that it is
almost impossible for her to wear her shoes
and they are very tender and, [dent], on pressure, and I
don't know but what she swells all over,
at times. This, I know, has been her condition
for more than a week and I don't
know how much longer. She don't
tell me anything unless she can help it
and is so very sorry. So I wanted her to go
to see Hudson but, she would not and so
I went and told him all I know about her
and he says he thinks it is caused by her
kidneys and would not attempt the case
without first analysing her urine and
I am a going to try to get a sample of it
for him this week, but she must not
know of it. I fear it is dropsy but, hope
it is not too late to help her. She makes fun
of Dr. H's. treatment, but when she gets down in
bed, she appreciates him and not to tell him I
told her I never would send for him
for her until she could pay him something.
She is still employed in the Ohio, [illegible], Office
but does not know how long she may stay
as she is only filling a vacancy.
