has but little time
for anything but study.
She is learning to like her
new studies and, [school?],
better every day, but has
been sick with bowel
& stomach trouble ever
since she came and
was so bad for awhile
that she missed two
days of school last
week. She has need
of a watch and today,
Archie went up to the
city and exchanged his
silver, (at a sacrifice), for
a ten dollar ladies' silver
watch. It is beautiful
and I think it will
please her. Owing to the
way Archie and Katie
live, they do see one another

a week. I presume you
have heard of, [Jennie's?],
departure and safe
arrival at, [Uncle?], F.
She went last Tuesday
morning. I bought her
a new, [sacque?], and
made her a belt and
braided it with braid
like her blue dress
and made her suspenders
and she wore the suit
with a white waist.
The sacque was of the
same shade as the
braid and she was
very much pleased with
her outfit. She was
revaccinated before
starting, but I don't
think it would ever
