Hadley, Mass. Dec. 2. 1905

My dear daughter:

Your last postal was received a few hours ago and read after indulging in a good cry and with tear dinned eyes. I will attempt to write you. You say you are in the hospital, but you do not tell the cause of your being there. I surmise it all, but yet I may not be correct, but I pray that whatever the cause and trouble, may be that God, in his great mercy, will deliver you out of it all.

and restore you to health again. He has stood by you in many troubles and afflictions and sorrows and I will pray and trust he will in this trouble and I will anxiously wait to hear from you, my dear child. Enclosed you will find Mabel's last letter. Perhaps you have one more recent than this. I may enclose Jennie's last, also one from your Aunt Sarah.

Mr., [Cervsier ?], and I are in our usual health. We have just returned from our Thanksgiving visit at his son's in West Brookfield, Mass. [Manch ?] Garhart came and played while we were gone. We had a pleasant time, but the weather turned very cold, suddenly, and we suffered somewhat from that cause. The tempature is now hovering in the neighborhood of zero. I received the papers you sent. Accept thanks for them. They contained much news.

I am glad to learn the apples arrived. Hope they are found in good condition and, if you cannot be there at the opening, that you may enjoy the eating of them. Whom do you have to keep house while gone? Did you, last Oct., receive a package of 30 bulbs and a catalogue of John Lewis Childs, Floral Park, N.Y.? if so, I sent them. If you did not rec'd them, please let me know. Trusting I may speedily hear good news from you, I will close. With much love and kisses, your affectionate Mother, Mrs. Leavette E. Cervsier
