Cousin Edith:

I suppose you think an answer to your letter of June 22nd very slow coming. Well, it is rather. I, like the rest of mankind, procrastinate and put off free day today what might. perhaps as well, be down at once.

Well, Laura and I were glad to hear from you and to know that you were well and that your thoughts meandered East, somewhat, and that you did think some little of those you left. Me began to think, perhaps, you had forgotten them and had taken up new and better friends.

Well, as to Mr. Moore and Grime, it happened in this way. They did not have your address when they left here. I gave it to Mr. Moore and he sent it on but, they did not get it until a few days before they left there and did not have time to hunt you up. Was very sorry it so happened. They would like to have seen you and, no doubt, you would have enjoyed meeting them. They had a very pleasent trip and arrived back home safe.

Thomas Jest came in and asked who are you writing to. I said, "Aunt Eddie." He said, "let me send her some kisses." I want to see Aunt Eddie. So here they are xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx.

Laura is feeling pretty well these days and has been right along, except some off days. As for the [?], was he is about, as usual, but suffers with a very tired feeling, oh so tired, and don't get rested. Otherwise, he is ok.

I don't know whether we will get away this summer or not, yet.

Laura and I were talking about it the other day. We, with Thomas, would like to go to Atlantic City and, perhaps, we may, but I am not certain.

[?], is well and takes his vacation August 1st for two weeks. Will leave on Saturday for New York, then to Atlantic City. Harvey and family spent the day with us, yesterday. They are well. Clara, with Jack, goes to Altantic City, Thursday, for a month. Harvey will go about Aug 15th for two weeks and returns together. Palestine, {faeks?], are about as usual. Nettie and her husband, together with Mauel, spent the 4th of July with us and had a jolly good time. Sister Margaret, I heard from recently. Her health is fair. She is nursing an old man

(5) somewhat demented and, of course, at her age, that is not an easy job. She asks about you when she writes.

Brother Jaeot, (?), in St. Louis is one ahead of you, again. I suppose, [?], this he has taken to himself a, [?]. At least, when he last wrote, he said he expected to about the middle of this month. So another chance gone, glimmering. He always asks after you when he writes.

Tom and his wife have gone housekeeping again, but I don't hear of any heirs.

Rev. Foster is about, as usual, has that same old grunt. He expects to return to us another year at an increase of salary. We hold our Sunday School, [?], [?], on Aug 11st at Rock Springs.

We held a Street Fair, week before last, and netted out church about $500.00.
