Dear ones at home:

I received your last letter and was glad to get it.

I am,, going to disappoint you all. I am not going home for the picnic.

I started to write this here letter yesterday but, some girls came to see us and one invited me to go to the show with with her and Auntie Gal let me go. She is an awful nice girl. So I didn't get to write you yesterday or last night.
