Dear Alice:

We are living in Orange
now, and I have been going to
school since Monday. The school here
is very beautiful. It looks like
a home of some rich person. I don't
know the girls real well yet, but
they seem very nice.

There is a Girl Scout patrol
here, but I haven't been to a meeting
yet.

I expect you are planning
another hike by this time. I would
love to be there to go on some more
hikes. There aren't any mountains here
very close. I don't suppose you have
gone on the hike up Mt. Wilson.

How are you and Arther by now?

Tell the girls I will write to them
whenever I can find time.
