Ft. Kamehameha

Dear friend:

Received your interesting
letter while away on a trip with the
company. We were supposed to do some
observing for the 5.5.th Artillary, [Artillery],
but it rained most of the time.
Therefore, our mission was a failure.
Broke camp about four oclock in the
evening and took us until the
next evening to get back, (30 miles).
On the whole trip, we were gone
fifty four hours and got two hours
