Dear folks:
It is twenty min., [minutes], to ten & we girls have just finished our breakfast.
Well, we woke up & then we jabbered, one at a time. Got dressed. I was the 2nd one of we girls dressed. Think of it. Mable cleaned part of the house, then we started to get our breakfasts. After the eggs were fried, we decided there

wasn't any bread, so Dorthy, (the cousin), Mattybell & I went about three (or 4) blocks to the store & bought a watermelon & a loaf of bread. Then came home & had an egg sandwich & watermellon [watermelon].
We got here about 7:30 last night. We stopped about 2 doz., [dozen], times to wait for the auntie & then we stopped at a brother's place in Alberhill. The drive isn't nearly as long as you think. [[struck text]:Gee its if]]

Don't let her kid you, Lenora.
We, [[struck text]:have]], had lots of fun. Work don't start until tomorrow. It isn't hot here. Only in the sun & it isn't hot doing nothing.
Would it be possible for you to send me a couple of dollars. Will pay you back when I get some. [[stuck text]: A]]
A mosquitoe bit me last nite, [night], on my right arm on top near my elbow, right near the funny wrinkles. It is this big. [illegible] Must draw plan of house

We went to bed about ten thirty last nite [night].

[Deadel?] I had better write a halfway decent letter to you or you would beat me.
It is 15 min. after nine & we Matey, Mable, & I just got back from the lake. Such a wild time as we did have. We met Lenora & Dorthy downtown, [sothey?]. Came home with us.
I wrote a letter to you at noon but have misplaced it. If I find it, will send it.
