as heavy) cases for my 8 train changes home.
After I leave Helen's keep your fingers crossed [[struck text]: as]]
for when I reach O.K. city [Oklahoma City] have 7 min. for
train change!! Boy oh boy, that's too close &
if my train is late, I'll be stuck for a later
train & will be almost another day later
getting home. Got the jitters all ready [already]
from worrying about all my changes to &
from Helen's so shall probably have to go to
a "rest home" to re-koop-er-ate [recuperate] when I
finally arrive.

Had almost decided to remain at least 10
days longer but J. D. thinks it better (maybe)
to go back now & prepare to join him for a
full month or too [two] later when we can have
