I think the writer's frequent use of quotation marks does not represent a quote, but rather represents a "ditto" mark, but it isn't always clear which word above he is referencing.

I still have doubts about the name of that square-rigged vessel in line 7. I could find all the others online (although the McKim ship is actually the Ann McKim). I'm wondering if he meant the Emma Isadora, if not the Eudorus?
