Expences on the Road for Man & horse in Pennsylvania Currency. Servants expence about 2/3 horse the same.

Ham, bacon & poultry, of one sort or another always to be had upon the road, & often fresh meat or fish, dried Venison - Indian or Wheaten bread, butter eggs milk, often cheese, drink. Beer, Brandy or Whiskey,

From North Tardevon at Cantuck Febry 1787

In Kentuck 50,000 Inhabitants, Soil rich, climate temperate provis. cheap Camberland . . . 8,000 Franklin . . . 21,000 Holsten . . . 5,000 Kentuck Hamberland now require Haken good, to [illegible] of 200,000 Dollers 20 Ann, which he supposes cost in Europe abour 45,000 Dollers supplied from Philadelphia & Baltimore by the way of Pittsbourgh & the Ohio, they pay about 1/8 in Cash, the rest in peltry - (provisions now gaind for [illegible], of which 12,000 supposed per Ann, the 2 last years

Franklin, the Cash of No. Carolina made a free State conditionally 2 years since but not accepted --. Kentucky by act of 1 Sep 1787 but not organized -- Priduce, Wheat, Corn, Rye Barley Oates, Rice, Indigo, Wool, Horses, 3,000 American farms at the [?]atches 30,000 French in Lusiana & Waback
