there is very little in flower.
In the Wushan Gorge I
went for a walk along
the magnificent road
which has been
excavated out of solid
rock. It is a wonderful
piece of work. It is seldom
less than four feet wide and
in splendid repair.
Sometimes it is not
more than 100 feet above the
river, at others fully a
thousand. Generally the
cliff is [?] [?]
there is no balustrade
