My Design being to put them in a Shop for Retail, in which
I shall place a young Man who has been with me since
my late Uncle's Death, as my Brothers Leaveing the
Store occasion'd my wanting more help just at that
Juncture as I had a multiplycity of Affairs to attend
to; of whose Abilities I have a high opinion, & shall
now make Tryall as well for his advantage as my own, & if it -
answers I shall order the goods after these to be charg'd to his
Acco[un]ts ~ The goods wrote for in the Inclos'd Invo[ice] you will
please to mark P, Consign them to me in a seperate Invo[ice]
& Bill Lad[in]g, & let them be all of the Best. ~

I have at length finish'd Mr Woodford's Acco[un]tt
& Transmitt them to him by this opportunity, This Delay
has been owing to the Surveys & Returns not being -
Regularly made; I momently Look to Receive Four
months Lists of Issues when I shall Transmitt them
to Mr Woodford, & Transmitt you a Bill on him for their
amo[unt] I have got the Contract in such a method as
to have Monthly Lists, w[hi]ch if not Detaind for want of -
opportunity shall draw every month or Two on Mr Woodford.

The Ballance of Acco[un]tt now Transmitted Mr Woodford, as
also amo[unt] of my Issues to 1st Sept[ember] last, I have now Drawn on
him for, & Inclose you the Bills Viz

when paid you will please to Credit my Acco[un]tt therefore - I have
no Doubt but Mr Woodford will Readily pay the Bills
when Due, but if he should Desire a few Days, dont
make any Difficulty about it. ~

I have none of yo[u]r fav[ou]rs to Reply to since
my last, hope soon to hear the Fate of my Ship
Liberty, and wish you may have Succeeded in
a Freight for her, I should be glad you had under=
=taken to have given her a Freight here instead of
Kirkwood who I hear you Dispatch, tho' I doubt not
but you will Exert your self for me. ~

I have Drawn Two or Three Bills on you
as at Bottom, w[hi]ch I pray you will honour, this is in
Consequence of a former Engagem[en]t, w[hi]ch I could
