I duly rec'd your fav'r of 16th Curr'tt inclosing a Letter to Miss
Ann Howard & your Acco'tt of Mr Mumfords Debt, Mr Greenleaf has
deliver'd me the [pound sign]18.16.7 you sent by him which with Mr Cozzens's [illegible]
for [pound sign]90 makes [pound sign]108.16.7 Lm'o in part thereof, the remaining [pound sign]250.41 in
your hands please to keep till further orders, hope Miss'r Harts will pre-
vail with Mr Mumford to pay me the Interest he withhold, it being as
much my due as the principal, which he might have witheld with the
some justice, when he reflects seriously, doubt not his doing me right
note what you say of Snells & Southwick & Clarks debts & doubt not your
best endeavours for the speediest obtaining them, please by some safe private
hand to send me Mr Saunders's note requesting the delivery with their
own hands, I am with Esteem

I duly rec'd your fav'rs of 2'd & 7th Curr'tt the former by your
friend James Forsyth Esq'r who has done me the pleasure of his Company
to dine once, should been glad of it oftener, but his short stay depriv'd me
of that pleasure, am very sorry you should make any appoligy for introduc-
ing your friends to my acquanitance I take it as a mark of friendship &
do assure you it gives me pleasure to render them any services, I have
not yet met with a Slater; I hear of one that has the Character of a good
workman who is expected in Town daily, when he come I'll treat with
with him & let you know his mind. there is no Chance of any
other. I took the liberty to draw on you in fav'r Cap't Wimble for the small
Ball'ce due to me, I am with the greatest Esteem
