Calix as ye Male Corol. — none. Pist. Germ subordinate (Credo) Stile one — filiform, at ye base obsd erect. Stigma bifid, simple, rather long. The Stile very distinct — & ye Stigma exactly defined where it rises from ye stile. But observed at ye base of ye Stile a n sub ovate body — perhaps ye Germen — but ye blossom was not sufficiently to determine with certainty — Conclude ye other parts correspond with Lin & W. but wish to examine further.
It is a low shrub grows on ye borders of Ponds & rivers, in sunken

Frutification disposed in a an ovato-oblong spike. Individuals round; opening at ye base with many valves connected at ye top, which is flat and target shaped.
