Description

Old meaning: A morbid state of the system characterized by indolent, glandular tumors, chiefly in the neck, suppurating slowly and imperfectly, degenerating into ulcers, which in process of time cicatrize and heal with difficulty, leaving scars. Modern meaning: A condition where tuberculosis bacteria cause symptoms outside the lungs, usually in the form of inflamed and irritated lymph nodes in the neck. Aka "cervical tuberculous lymphadenitis", King's evil.
