At a Meeting, of some Gentlemen Practitioners, at Mr Dupee's in Walpole Sept ye 5th 1785. Present Drs Gerauld, Hewins, Richardson, Norton and Draper. Dr Gerauld in the Chair. Took under consideration the Propriety and Practicability of Founding a Medical Association. After due Deliberation they passed the following Voets unanimously 1st That they will begin and endeavor to maintain a Medical Association, at present, to be contained within the Limits of Dedham, Needham, Medfield, Stoughton, Wrentham, Walpole, Sharon, Franklin, Medway, Bellingham, Foxborough, Sherburne, Natick, Hopkinton and Holiston. 2nd That Drs Sprague, Hewes, Ames, Metcalf, Shepherd, Morril and Adams Practioners in the above Towns be invited to attend the next Meeting and take seats as Members of P. [?] Society. 3rd That Drs Gerauld, Draper and Norton be a Committee to collect Rules and Orders for the regulation of the Society; and present the same, for amendment or acceptance at the next meeting.

Medfield Oct'y 3d '85 Met according to Adjourment; Present. Drs. Geraule, Heurin, Shepherd, Northon, Richardson, Adams and Draper. Passed the following votes unanimously, on 5th that Roxbury, Doicherter, Milton, Weymouth, HarigWorm, Braintree, Brochline, Cohasiet, and Hull be annexed unto and ^they, together with the Towne mentioned in the suit Vote of this Meeting, be considered an the [?] of this society. 6th Drs. Sparogue, Hewes, Metea[?], Shepherd, Morrill and Adams have vigrefied[?] their acceptance of the Tradition and are considered as Members.

and are considered as Members. 12th - Proceeded to the mature consideration of the Code of Rules and Orders, by Paragraphs; and accepted each Article as they [crossed out] it now stands around it; except Article 19th which was postponed for future consideration. 13th - To defer the choice of Officers agreerable to Article 4 & 2 till some future meeting.

Proceeding Notes, [written on the side] 14th - To choose a Secretary, pro Tem, who together with two Members shall be a Committee to attend the Daily and exercise the Powers vested in the Council by Article 4 & 9th, accordingly Dr. Draper was chosen secretary, pro Tem and Dr Barker and Walls of y' Committee 15 that the next meeting be held in Milton, the Hour to be determined by y' Committee. 16th - to dissolve the Meeting,
