(seq. 14)

Lord, he takes with him such words
as these. Take away all iniquity &
receive (me) graciously
, so will I render
ye calves of my lips -

//And where there is this turning
of ye heart, there is a correspondent
change of Life. - He yt is renewed in
ye Spirit of his mind, puts off ye
old man, {which} is corrupt according
to deceitful Lust, & puts on the
new man {which} after God is created
in right & true holiness -

//Where the resolution of ye heart is
sincere, sin is forsaken immediately
without delay. The convert says I
will not offend any more, & he makes
haste & delays not to keep Gods
{commandments} -

// - Conversion is a turning from all Sin,
from secret, as well as open sins - to ye
[virtue?] of all known duty, without
reserve. The Psalmist says I esteem
all thy precepts concerning all {things}
to be right, & I hate every false way

Then shall I not be ashamed, when
I have respect to all thy {Commandments} -

// - This turning to God Turning from Sin
is necessary to ye forgiveness of it.
It is the express condition on {which} for-
giveness is promised. Turn ye, turn
ye, for why will ye die - repent &
be converted yt your sins may be
blotted out -

// - Sin not only deserves death, but
necessarily leads to it - It is a disease
